How Klipr Works

From installation to instant replays — understand the complete system in 4 simple steps

Getting Started in 4 Steps

1

📦 We Install the Hardware

We provide and install a Raspberry Pi with 2 USB cameras and a button at each court. The Pi connects to your WiFi or uses a 4G dongle. Installation takes 1-2 hours per court with minimal disruption.

2

🎥 Continuous Recording Starts

The cameras record continuously to a 15-second circular buffer in memory. Nothing is saved until someone presses the button — no wasted storage, no privacy concerns.

3

⚡ Players Press the Button

When something exciting happens (a goal, great save, or amazing play), anyone can press the courtside button. The system instantly saves the last 10 seconds as a video clip.

4

📱 Clips Go Live Instantly

The clip uploads to the cloud in seconds and appears on your venue's Klipr page. Players can watch, download, and share their highlights on social media immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does installation take?

Typically 1-2 hours per court. We mount the Pi enclosure, position cameras for best angles, and connect to your internet. The system is operational immediately after setup.

What if we don't have WiFi at the courts?

We provide a 4G USB dongle with 30GB monthly data for R300 extra per court. This works anywhere with decent cell coverage.

How much storage do clips use?

Clips are automatically deleted after 14 days, in line with our privacy policy and POPIA data-retention requirements.

Can players download their clips?

Yes! Every clip has a download button and a QR code for instant mobile sharing. Players can share directly to WhatsApp, Instagram, or any social media.

What happens if the equipment breaks?

All hardware is covered for the duration of your contract. We'll repair or replace any faulty equipment within 48 hours at no extra cost.

Can we customize the clip length?

Yes! The buffer length (how far back it saves) and clip duration are both configurable. Standard is 15-second buffer saving the last 10 seconds.

Is there a minimum contract period?

Yes, we require a 12-month minimum contract for monthly subscriptions. Hardware purchase option has no minimum term.
